2017 Labor Day Parade

Date: Thursday September 14, 2017

Working Together, Leading the Way

On Saturday, September 9th, Local 338 celebrated our union pride at the New York City Central Labor Council’s Labor Day Parade. This year, the theme of the Labor Day Parade was “working together, leading the way” and we were so proud to have had such a great turnout to show our dedication to achieve this mission!

More than 100 Local 338 members and their children joined together to march up Fifth Avenue accompanied by the talented musicians, of Local 802 AFM, on our own Local 338 float. We all also had the opportunity to meet Senator Diane Savino and New York State Department of Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon who stopped by to say hello and show their support.

The parade was a reminder of just how strong we are when we join together in solidarity. Thank you to all of our members who came out to celebrate with us. We look forward to seeing you at next year’s parade!
